Founded in 1983 in the North-East town of Verona, after the split of the Punk band Eva Brown, by the collaboration between Mauro Marchesi (keyboards and electronics) and Joyello Triolo (vocals and guitar). Morrowyellow debut with an Electronic sound experimentation supporting the fascination for the arts and oriental music. A study that will lead to collaborations with Avant-Garde theater and contemporary dance until in 1985, with the entry of Turkish Max (bass and guitar), they begin to feel a certain interest in live appearances. The band recorded a great demo ("My Colours") and few other material all released on tapes and never officially released. The group disbanded in late 1988.

The Vivian Girls drop sweet girl-group melodies into proto-shoegaze squalls the way the Jesus & Mary Chain used to and the way groups like the Aislers Set, C86s-ers the Shop Assistants, and the Manhattan Love Suicides have done with female vocalists. They keep the Shangri-Las' melodrama to boot.

Eureka Hot 4 is an incandescent Soul-Punk rocket from the bowels of Bermeo, Bizkaia. The group, born in 2005, is made up of indispensable musicians of the Basque scene such as Sergio Llanos, founding member of Atom Rhumba, or Gotzon Garay, member of Münsterland and Bongolocos. In their sound you can glimpse the adoration they render to the sweatiest black rhythms of groups like Funkadelic or Betty Davis, the energy of bands like The Saints or The Damned and the affinity with other rock and roll deconstructors such as The Dirtbombs or Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.

First Lp released in 2000 by this San Francisco band with members of Thin White Rope, Residents, Sunny Day Real State and Loud Family. Their music has been described as a combination of Sonic Youth, Stooges and Sun Ra.

Second band of this band from A Coruña with members of Elephant Band, Covers, Ultracuerpos...

Reissue of this absolute classic of the late 70s UK underground. 'O' Level was created in 1976 by London guitarist Ed Ball along with two friends from school, the Benett brothers (John on drums and Gerard on bass), who would leave the band in March 1978. That same line-up plus Dan Treacy (another school friend of Ball's) recorded the first Television Personalities single in 1977, titled '14th Floor'. 'O' Level self-released that same year their first single, which included three tracks strongly influenced by punk's energy (Buzzcocks and Undertones guitars and melody on 'East Sheen') and attitude (with ironic comments about fake punks on 'Pseudo Punk'), but as if seen from a distance, outside a decadent scene which had already been absorbed by the establishment. The single also features a sort of homonymous anthem called `O' Levels'.Ed Ball's music career would go on over the following decades as he continued developing his own strand of wonderful pop music through the 80s and 90s with bands such as Teenage Filmstars, Television Personalities, The Times and many more, plus several records as a solo artist.

A ghost walks through Bilbao: the ghost of Al Karpenter, the only wild rocker able to restore the hard core of the true rebel music.From the times running his legendary Brutus fanzine to playing the role of Andy Warhol as commissioner of a tribute record in the 40th anniversary of the first Velvet Underground album ("A Gran Bilbao Tribute To The Velvet Underground & Nico"), he arrives now in a trio format with a biographical single where he bares himself. 'The Chosen One' features the distinguished presence of key players of the Basque leftfield music scene such as Mattin (from Billy Bao) and Loty Negarti. Munster is the right label to continue the more obscure and reptil-like path of rock from Bilbao (La Secta, Cancer Moon and more recently Billy Bao). Al Karpenter doesn't disappoint and that city becomes a temporary prism through which New York's no wave travels to London to pick up Alternative TV's strident side, while crossing paths with Scott Walker in a surgery where Iggy Pop mutates into a dog.Apart from barking, the listener will find tense silences, dense textures and intimate reflection by one of the most singular characters to come out of Bilbao.

In 1975 Alex Chilton went into the Ardent Recording Studios with producer Jon Tiven and out of some tumultuous recording sessions came a number of loose and unpolished gems, which would ultimately become the "Bach's Bottom" album. Munster is proud to present this 7" featuring previously unreleased alternate versions of three of those tracks, another instance of Alex Chilton magic.

A preview of the forthcoming debut album by The Japanese Girl, "Sonic-Shaped Life", which will be released by Munster Records in autumn 2015.The B-side features a cover of Pete Shelley's 'Telephone Operator', exclusive to this release.The Japanese Girl is a Portuguese band formed in late December 2013 by Bruno Sousa, Corinna Sousa and Emanuel Cunha. Starting with two guitars, an organ and vintage drum machines, they immediately forged a raw and powerful sound somewhere between garage rock and psych lo-fi, while recently they have been joined by a drummer hammering through their opiated layers of reverb. Their intense, noise-filled live performances are accompanied by mysterious visual elements, and besides their own headlining shows the band has also played with Jacco Gardner, The Wand, Girls Names and as part of the Reverence Festival Party.In early 2015 they recorded their "Sonic-Shaped Life" LP at an analogue studio, which will be released this autumn by Munster Records. As a preview, this 7" features the album track 'You Should Have Switches', which inhabits a hypnotic realm between early The Jesus and Mary Chain and Thee Oh Sees, and an unexpected version of Pete Shelley's 'Telephone Operator' on the B side, exclusive to this release.

Based in Stoke Newington, the three-piece make lo-fi fuzz-pop, and kind of sound like a mariachi band who have discovered the joys of garage rock. Piro’s songs are endearingly simple, as are his lyrics, which concern everyday things like the colour of his tracksuit as he runs through Hackney Marshes. There is something really charming about Pissinboy’s music, which owes as much to the lo-fi naivety of Daniel Johnston as it does to '60s garage bands.

Torre Hornero Sessions is the first EP of the group from Zaragoza PETRELLI originally formed by Eduardo Tomás -Zomas– (drums) and Miguel Ángel Gutiérrez -Prise- (guitar) as sound base and musical projects. His weekly rehearsal venue in Movera, Zaragoza, gives this work its title, a place through which different musicians have passed and participated in enjoying sessions and exploring new sounds. Finally, this long-awaited album comes to light along with two other names from the Aragonese scene: Guillermo Mata (bass and production) and Eric Castiglia (vocals). Torre Hornero Sessions finished recording at the beginning of the year and was mixed in the midst of a pandemic, using videoconferencing and new technologies. It is made up of four songs heir to American rock and even punk rock. These vintage references add up to a fresh sound, with its own style, brand and class. In the musical background of PETRELLI, the composition of three instrumental songs stands out to accompany the audiovisuals of the exhibition on the Battle of Dunbar, pieces from the most important archaeological find that took place in 2016 in the North of England. The show was organized by the Durham University Department of Archaeology, and won the 2019 Living North Award.
