Reissue of this absolute classic of the late 70s UK underground. 'O' Level was created in 1976 by London guitarist Ed Ball along with two friends from school, the Benett brothers (John on drums and Gerard on bass), who would leave the band in March 1978. That same line-up plus Dan Treacy (another school friend of Ball's) recorded the first Television Personalities single in 1977, titled '14th Floor'. 'O' Level self-released that same year their first single, which included three tracks strongly influenced by punk's energy (Buzzcocks and Undertones guitars and melody on 'East Sheen') and attitude (with ironic comments about fake punks on 'Pseudo Punk'), but as if seen from a distance, outside a decadent scene which had already been absorbed by the establishment. The single also features a sort of homonymous anthem called `O' Levels'.Ed Ball's music career would go on over the following decades as he continued developing his own strand of wonderful pop music through the 80s and 90s with bands such as Teenage Filmstars, Television Personalities, The Times and many more, plus several records as a solo artist.

Cooper, etc., yet addled by the big-balls overdrive of early AmRep savagery and mangled by savage production. Keith's vox writhe and growl over the din as it explodes in short bursts and threatens to collapse, the barely-noticeable keys scraping weirdo patterns in the underbelly of it all the while. "Scales in the Tub" is tune of the year. Buy, or forever wallow in other boring stuff by other sub-par bands.

Repress!!! Amyl and the Sniffers are a punk band possessed by the spirit of seventies Australian rock. Amy Taylor (vocals), Bryce Wilson (drums), Dec Martens (guitar) are former housemates who formed the band, wrote a handful of tunes and released their debut EP, Giddy Up, all in a span of twelve hours. Completing their line up with Gus Romer on bass, the band take their cues from a diverse bunch of legends including AC&DC, Cosmic Psychos, Dolly Parton and Die Antwoord, setting out to have as much fun as possible. Their 2nd EP, Big Attraction, was released in February 2017, kicking off a stellar year for these young punks.

Angel Corpus Christi is a San Francisco singer/accordionist who began releasing vintage-sounding pop albums in the '80s.
In 1984, Angel debuted with an album of NYC-related covers (by The Ramones, Lou Reed, etc.) called, fittingly," I Love New York."

An album that opens with a Spanish version of "Situations" by Slaughter & The Dogs makes it clear from the beginning what the unsuspecting listener is going to find throughout the 12 tracks of the new Bonzian installment. Hyper-vitaminized guitars, new-odor aromas, irresistible melodies, catchy choruses, surfer choruses, and above all a lot of attitude.

In 1996, Bonzos released their first album, 341 Broome St., recorded in NY and produced by Andy Shernoff. A burst of 12 Ramonian punk songs lasting barely half an hour, full of immediate hits and that took on a special importance when the band defended them on stage. A masterpiece of national punk rock, due to the addiction of its melodies, its forceful punch and the freshness that it distilled from the first to the last theme. In 2021 this album turned 25 years old, and Juancar Parlange, Bonzos's alma mater, wanted to celebrate it doubly: firstly, with a reissue on vinyl from 341 Broome St (of the original vinyl run made by Roto Records, barely 5 copies are known since, due to some strange maneuver yet to be unraveled, the whereabouts of the rest of the discs are unknown). And as a climax, and recovering the youthful and unrestrained spirit of that their 1st album, they entered the studio of Martín Cápsula (Silver Recordings) to record the 18 songs that make up this latest production "Songs about cars, girls & broken hearts", returning to the line-up of 3 members (guitar, bass, drums), backed by two mythical figures from the Bilbao scene (Jorge Murillo on bass and Ricky Ibáñez on drums), published on digital platforms in mid-2021 and which, now finally , you have available on vinyl, in the format in which a jewel like this should last. Juancar Parlange describes the vital moment in which he found himself when he decided to undertake this project: "It was the moment to return home musically", in reference to recovering the essence of that first album and doing it in the places of his youth, in the Getxo of its musical origins, closing the circle that was opened with 341 Broome St, to prepare for the next musical adventures that its restless spirit will undoubtedly already be giving birth to. But for now, it's time to enjoy this "Songs about cars, girls & broken hearts" and defend it live. And it gives to do it a lot and very well.
